November 12, 2024 – The Marikina Polytechnic College conducted a 3-day mentoring workshop “S.T.E.P. UP Season 1: Supporting Talent of Futures Thinking for Excellence in Research Through Mentorship” from November 6-8, 2024 at Club Balai Isabel, Talisay, Batangas. STEP UP Season 1 was packed with capacity-building lectures and tasks designed to enable the mentees to write a publication-ready research paper following the IMRAD format. Dr. Rene M. Colocar, College President, also gave his message to inspire the participants to conduct research aligned with the College’s priority areas in research for better chances of obtaining institutional funding. He also added that due to limited funds, not all proposals will be funded institutionally and if this happens, the proponent should not be discouraged since research is not only for College goals but also for professional and personal growth.
