December 17, 2024 – MPC Garments, Fashion, and Design (GFD) Department received two (2) units of Cover Stitch Machine from Wonderful international Services, Inc. (WISI) in a formal Turn-over Ceremony held last December 16, 2024 at GE 206, Prof. Marcela A. Bungag’s shoproom. Mr. Yosuke Suzuki, CEO of WISI, and MPC President, Dr. Rene M. Colocar led the ceremony. Also in attendance were VP Joemel V. Bautista, Alumni Trustee Christian S. Canlas, Prof. Marcela A. Mamauag, and Prof. Joseph Quilles together with the Japanese visitors, Mr. Tsuyoshi Hasegawa, Ms. Chiyuki Saito, Mr. Yoshiaki Sato, Ms. Ma. Cristina Guevarra, Mr. Rodolfo. WISI donated the two (2) machines to facilitate the Trade Testing Activity slated on the same day. Ms. Ella Monique Yepes, BTVTED 4th year student hosted the ceremony.
Eleven (11) assessees participated in the trade test that followed after the Turn-over Ceremony, two (2) of which were MPC alumni graduates from the BIT-GFD program. Of these two (2), one (1) passed the trade test. Maryann A. Noromar is now processing her papers for a work opportunity in Japan.
