The MPC RDO held a three-day Research Proposal Development Writeshop
The MPC RDO held a three-day Research Proposal Development Writeshop in partnership with Dr. Gissella Lebron, MPC RD Leader under National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) RDLead Program.
There were 40 MPC faculty who participated in the writeshop. Dr. Gissella Lebron discussed the components in a research proposal for grant application and guide the faculty-researchers in crafting their proposals for three days. Mr Lou Naval also discussed the library services and subscription that can be used by faculty-researchers. Also, Ms Djustine Obispo discussed how to use turnitin for similarity checking of research manuscript.
After the three-day sessions, ten research proposals were presented by the faculty-researchers. Dr Vilma Sugay, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr Ernesto Concepcion, Vice-President for Administration and Finance, and Ms Arra Santos, Director for Research and Development, served as a technical panel to give comments and suggestions for the improvement of the proposals.
Lastly, Dr. Marieta Sumasaysay, Executive Director of NRCP, discussed the priority areas of NRCP for grant application and other opportunities of an NRCP member.
**Minimum health and safety standards were observed during the duration of the training. Face masks were taken off for photo ops only.
