Part of the five-day Community College Administrator Program (CCAP) Alumni Symposium. The event took place on July 25, 2023, at the Function Hall of the Civil Technology Building, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines.
Participants were treated to captivating performances by the talented MPC Dance Troupe and the harmonious melodies of the MPC Chorale and Mr. Roeben Josel Sarto. The highlight of the evening was the showcasing of different festivals of the Philippines, presented by selected teaching and non-teaching personnel.
Distinguished CCAP Faculty members present included Dr. Paul Broadie, II, President of Santa Fe College; Stephen Dunnivant, Former Campus President of Broward College; Anthony Koliha, Director of the Office of Global Educational Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs; and Vilma Elisa Fuentes, CCAP Co-Director and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at Santa Fe College. Additionally, Dr. Jeffrey Ayala Milligan, CCAP Director and Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies at Florida State University
The Community College Administrator Program is a notable initiative of the U.S. Department of State, generously funded by the U.S. Government. Administered by Florida State University in partnership with Santa Fe College, the program aims to enhance international understanding of U.S. community colleges and their systems among administrators and officials responsible for higher education planning in selected countries. Our College President, Dr. Rene M. Colocar is an alumnus of this international program.
