LOOK| The Japanese Organization Ethos Cooperative Union (Ethos) and Wonderful International Services Inc. (WISI) visited Marikina Polytechnic College and conducted a partnership meeting that was held at Cherish Hall, Civil Technology Building March 03, 2023.
The tripartite agreement took place with the presence of College President Dr. Rene M. Colocar, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Alumni Association President Dr. Vilma J. Sugay, Ethos Director General Mr. Takuya Fujuhisa & Mr. Daichi Kawakami, WISI Director General Ms. Estrella Suzuki, and Y. Suzuki Nihongo Learning Center (YSNLC) President Mr. Yosuke Suzuki.
Together with this event were the Automotive faculty and Mr. Christian Canlas, Technology Program Chair and TAU focal person.
Ethos is a cooperative union founded in November 2022, with the goal of realization of zero emission society through proper cycle and reuse of automobiles and its main activity focuses on disaster rehabilitation assistance. Together with TAU corporation (seller of damaged and rehabilitated cars), these two organizations are comitted to make the world clean and green.
On the other hand, WISI is a land based recruitment agency duly licensed by the (POEA) Philippine Overseas Employment Administration and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) specializing in the career placement of Filipino professionals and skilled workers overseas employment.
According to Dr. Colocar, as a project of MPC Alumni Association, the campus will send a total of 20 alumni students from Bachelor of Technical Teacher-Vocational Education (BTVTEd) & Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BIT) together with 2 Faculty Members from Automotive Department to have an in-depth training in Japan, which Mr. Daichi Kawakami and Mr. Yosuke Suzuki clarified that all of the expenses will be covered by multiple host companies.
Ethos is also planning to invite foreign car technicians to Japan as technical intern trainees. It is one of the main reasons why they signed a contract with Marikina Polytechnic College and Wonderful International Services Inc.
