I feel honored for the trust and faith you put [in] me as 4th president of marikina polytechnic college. With all opportunities and challenges that come with my acceptance, i know this new journey will be hard to walk on alone… I thank all the teaching and the academic support staff of mpc for the gracious welcome and support. You are all passionate and hardworking and i hope the synergy you have will continue to lead the college… , dr. Colocar said.
He also said that he is beyond grateful for the trust he received from the college and that he will work to justify their faith in him.
Moreover, he emphasized his belief that mpc has the power to lead meaningful and productive lives and be an agent of change to the community.
As we go forward, there is so much to do. And the only way to make change is to see challenges we face as opportunities. So, let us continue to recalibrate our minds to further the college goals and priorities. Let us discover new ways to foster diversity, inclusivity, sustainability, and above all, excellence, he said.
On the other hand, ched executive director and former oic of the office of the mpc president, atty. Lily freida m. Milla thanked the mpc community and the people who helped and guided her during her 10-month stay in the college.
All my life naging abogado ako. Milla said.
She also mentioned some of her notable accomplishments in her term such as the initial strategic plan of the college, the hybrid program that according to her, should be institutionalized by the new administration, grant for smart campus that allows the interconnectivity of the buildings and helps the college in terms of technology aspects, and the proposed edu-tourism program entitled cherish marikina that aims to showcase the culture and history of the city and to provide opportunity for the promotion of shoe industry.
Mahal ko po kayong lahat, she said.
The turn-over ceremony was attended by the mpc teaching and non-teaching personnel along with the members of the board of trustees namely; trustee carmelita l.
