ICYMI|Awards Night of the GAD’s Sportsfest Winners
The Gender and Development (GAD)’s Solidarity AGAPE Sports Fest Year 2022-2023 held its awards night led by Mr. Libner M. Bautista, MPC-GAD Director at Lolo’s Park, Marikina Polytechnic College, February 15, 2023.
After several weeks of having different sports and games, the Gender and Development office finally reached its day of recognizing all the winning teams, outstanding players, and giving recognition to everyone who participated in this year’s Sports Fest.
“Bali ang Stats na ibinagay sa amin about the official winners ay from referees… and dumami ang number of awardees just to compliment everyone na nag-participate sa ating Sports Fest” said by Mr. Bautista.
He also pointed out the importance, and purpose of having the sports fest as well as the overall goal of Gender and Development Department.
According to him, “It usually comes in different phases, una siyempre yung wellness program na para sa lahat, mostly, may combat training na nakalaan para sa ating members, which is more on aerobics”
“Then, the launching of electric massage…. this is for the burnout that was experienced by the members. Siyempre kailangan ito para kahit papaano ay mawala yung stress, it also includes the parlor, and beauty care to boost the confidence of our members” he added.
“Lastly, itong katatapos lang na sports fest, siyempre open ito sa mga interested sa sports” he said.
Mr. Bautista also discussed that GAD office is finally mandating the wellness program and the sports fest. He also said that everything is not going to happen if there is still a strict COVID-19 restrictions.
He is also looking forward on the inclusivity of student-organization leaders and members for the future activities of Gender and Development office that will revolve around different activities, training programs and synergies.
